Home Safety Tips for Families

Home safety tips are especially important for families with young children or elderly relatives. There are many potential hazards in a typical home which can put babies and toddlers at risk. Parents and others that care for young children should thoroughly check each room in the house for possible hazards and make sure their home is child proof. In addition, toddlers and babies should be supervised at all times.

Babies should never be left in a bath alone or left alone with a feeding bottle. They should be kept far from small objects which they could choke on such as small toys, hard candies and the like. Make sure that new baby cribs are up to the latest safety standards and that you locate the crib away from windows. Never leave your baby unattended on beds, sofas or changing tables.
